The current situation in Galwan valley and Ladakh show a fully assertive China with a non-complacent foreign policy. The Chinese Communist Party has a definite agenda of claiming all of Asia under its domination either by Money like in Nepal and Pakistan or by force like in the South China Sea and India.
Chinese have a long inferiority complex when it comes to their International relation especially with the western powers and Japan, both of whom had one or the other time ruled parts of China. The Chinese CCP now is trying to emulate them by claiming to the parts of china which it thinks historically belonged to it.
Under such pretext, even India should claim the whole of South Asia and parts of Southeast Asia as they were under the domination of Indian kingdoms at some part of its history. This even includes Tibet in China as Buddhism went from India to Tibet under Emperor Ashok. Ladakh and Tibet were always under the Indian sphere of influence before the CCP Red army called PLA invaded Tibet and occupied it.
China now thinks that due to its growing economic clout it can now draw concessions from its neighbours but forgets that its army even though said to be worlds largest standing army lacks actual combat experience since 1976 when they were bitten by Vietnam army.
Chinese soldiers lack basic fighting skills and depend on quantity rather than the quality of soldiers. This was clearly seen in Galwan where just a few Indian troops without any weapons were able to kill a large number of Chinese troops armed with iron rods and battons. If you compare man against man ratio an average Indian soldier is much more capable in real combat compare to a Chinese soldier and this was shown in simultaneous conflict videos now on the Internet.
